Since the establishment of the Gaisjoch and Schilling 8-seat aerial tram, the Gitschberg Jochtal ski area – with guaranteed snow – has been the largest ski arena in the Eisack Valley. For families and active vacationers, the courses lead to the villages of Vals / Valles and Meransen.

The Gitschberg Jochtal ski area is located away from the hustle and bustle of mass ski tourism. In the wintertime, over 55 km of slopes with courses in all degrees of difficulty offers the right mixture for child and adult winter sport enthusiasts.
